If your smile has been damaged by age, neglect or an accident, there’s one thing for sure — you owe it to yourself to get it fixed. That’s why we’re proud to offer our neighbors in Midwest City CEREC one day crowns — for a new, improved smile in just one visit to Dr. Steven Kendrick!
CEREC One Day Crowns Improve Your Smile In Just One Visit
When the enamel is broken in a damaged tooth, it can lead to serious problems. That’s because the break can allow bacteria that naturally resides in your mouth to enter the tooth — something you definitely don’t want. Left untreated, damaged teeth become infected and will eventually require extraction.
Crowns are an excellent solution for a number of dental problems, including decayed, broken, misshapen, discolored or otherwise damaged teeth. Crowns work by capping the damaged tooth, providing a shield for the precious root and nerve — protecting them from harmful bacteria.
In the past, dental crowns required at least two visits to the dental office — one to prepare your teeth, then a second one weeks later once the crowns had been created in a far-away factory. But with CEREC, or CEramic REConstruction, technology, Dr. Kendrick is able to give examine your damaged tooth, then create and place your new crown all in just one visit to Midwest Dental Center!
What to Expect From CEREC One Day Crowns at Midwest Dental
When you come in for your appointment, your broken or damaged tooth will first be cleaned and prepared by our caring staff. If there are any tooth fragments near the treatment area, they will be carefully removed. Dr. Kendrick will then closely examine your mouth to determine if you’re a good candidate for a CEREC one day crown — and if you are, you’re in luck! Your tooth can be restored in the very same visit.
To prepare for your one day crown, Dr. Kendrick will scan your mouth with the advanced CEREC equipment, upload the information to his computer and then plan for the construction of your unique crown in the special CEREC crown machine. Once it’s created, all that’s left is the placement! You’ll leave that visit with a strong, healthy tooth that’s fully protected from damaging bacteria.
